In Super Bowl numbers, ‘X’ means 10; sometimes it means “prohibited,” but on a pirate’s map, X is where the treasure is buried and that’s what will be found at “Freaks Ball X.” Over the past 10 years, a music newsgroup of fans, tastemakers and music lovers have gathered to celebrate the balance of a great party with great music.
The decade anniversary of this event will be celebrated on Sat, Jan 23rd with “FREAKS BALL X” at Sullivan Hall in NYC featuring New Orleans’ ANDERS OSBORNE and Jersey’s THE BLACK HOLLIES. In-demand NYC axe-man Scott Metzger has been added to open up the night with a guitar-fueled groove set. This will be Scott’s 8th Freaks Ball performance in a row!
Much love for the FREAKS from NY Examiner, Hidden Track, Village Voice, Time Out NY and many many others…
